New Beginnings
Will not load
Published on January 25, 2008 By skybright In Customization Software
I have a problem with Sound Packager. The day before yesterday I was downloading a file and when Sound Packager loaded about a quarter of the way an error message said Sound Packager has created an error and needs to close.

So, I uninstalled reboot reinstalled reboot all in SDC and I am getting the same error message. I did this a couple of times and still get the same error message so, I need help with this.

Can you look in the event log and post the exact error?
on Jan 25, 2008
Okay Zubaz, I need you to bring me along a little bit since I know enough about computers to be dangerous. Tell me where to find the event log and I will try to post it...because I have never posted anything before. Wow I really sound like a nubbie. No I usually am able to figure things out for myself. I will wait for your instructions.

Start | All Programs | Administrator tools | Event viewer

Look for an error in the Application section tha might relate to Sound Packager.  Double click on it.  Paste the Description section here.

Good luck.

Well I found the Event viewer and found nothing. I then went on a search and destroy mission and found nothing. Do you know anything else I can try?

Back when it first came out of beta I had a similar problem. Follow Zubaz instructions, it worked, now I'm not saying it will work for you.

If it doesn't then I would contact support@stardock.com. Good luck.
