Wincustomize Site Problems
Published on July 26, 2006 By skybright In WinCustomize Site Issues
I am very frustrated with Wincustomize right now. I have had problems the last couple of days with the site not updating correctly. I will get updates from my tray notification I go to the WC site and no updates. I have had to use the refresh buttons more times to get the new skins I want to download. The site has become sooo slow once again. But I have a new issue today that beats everything else. I recieved a tray notification of new updates. I looked at the updates and saw a WB I wanted to download. I went to WC site the skin wasn't there so I did a refresh and the skin was there. I left a comment because I really liked the skin and downloaded it. The skin name is A Brown Night by Ken 717. It downloaded just fine but no new skin there is an empty space in brackets where the new skin should be. I did this four times and the same thing would happen over and over. Only in the comments it would say 0 comments...I submited a comment and each time I went to WC to try again to download I would see in the comments various number of comments left from 0-3. What is up with this? Oh also the last couple of days when I go ti WC their page loads just off center...Why? Does anyone have a clue as to what is going on with WC? I have never posted on the forum before so I don't even know if I am posting in the right place or not. I have only been a member since 12/05. If anyone has constructive help or direction my email is sandrakcental@hotmail.com.

I just loked and your comment does show up. There are a couple of other comments that refer to the skin showing up without a title. I've seen this from some of my own skins that I've been working on that have never been uploaded so I think it's a Skinstudio problem not a Wincustomize or download problem.

As to the site itself, they've been changing out the forums recently and that's probably caused a few problems here and there. Depending on the tme of day you access the site will have a lot to do with how fast everything moves. If your getting on at a peak usage time it's gonna be slow.

My suggestion given what's been going onwith site construction lately is you delete your cookies and clear your browser cache.
